OLAI Named to Tech Nation’s Breakout 50
OLAI has been named among the UK’s most promising early-stage startups.

We’re proud to share that OLAI has been named to Tech Nation’s Breakout 50, a recognition for the most promising early-stage startups in the UK. It’s a milestone that means a lot to us, and it comes at a pivotal moment in OLAI’s journey.
Why this matters
Five months ago, OLAI didn’t exist. Since founding, we’ve been building toward a single goal: closing the Independence Gap that leaves millions of older and disabled adults unable to complete everyday digital tasks independently, from booking a GP appointment to renewing a licence to managing online banking.
Being named to Breakout 50 sits alongside that momentum and puts OLAI in front of a wider community of investors, partners, and operators who understand what it takes to scale early-stage UK tech.
- Undertaken research and testing to identify the digital tasks older and disabled adults struggle with most.
- Started working with public sector organisations to bring OLAI to the people who need it most.
- Secured SEIS approval.

What’s next
We’re currently raising a £350K pre-seed round to take OLAI further. If you’re interested in digital inclusion, accessible design, or backing founders solving problems that affect millions of people every day, we’d love to talk.
